Green Lead, the global advocate for climate action, has wrapped up its six week initiative, Unplastic Bangladesh 2023, marking a significant stride in the ongoing battle against plastic pollution. In collaboration with an international climate tech initiative, Sonali Bioplastics, the campaign, which commenced in early November, witnessed substantial engagement nationwide.

Unplastic Bangladesh 2023 aimed to equip and inspire participants to take tangible actions against climate change by addressing the pervasive issue of plastic pollution. Green Lead provided crucial climate tools and mentorship to guide individuals in their journey towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle.

The campaign comprised two distinct tracks:
- Track A: Participants engaged in cleaning plastic waste from designated areas and sharing visuals on Facebook to raise awareness.
- Track B: Participants conducted in-person or virtual sessions to create awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic pollution.
Nationwide Impact:
Unplastic Bangladesh 2023 resonated across the nation, successfully engaging thousands and mobilizing over 500 participants. The initiative spanned all eight divisions and extended its impact to over 20 districts. Participants ranged from young children and teenagers to retired individuals, reflecting an inclusive involvement in the fight against climate change.
All participants will receive certificates of participation, acknowledging their dedication to the cause. Furthermore, the top 40 participants, selected through a rigorous judging process, will be rewarded with a gift pack as a token of appreciation.
