Green Leadership Manifesto Launched in Sweden to Inspire Global Action for a Sustainable Future

Stockholm, Sweden – Green Lead, a social purpose organization from Bangladesh, proudly announces the international launch of the Green Leadership Manifesto by its Founder and Chairperson, Md. Fahim Hossain, with the support of the Swedish Institute during Impact Pioneers 25 in Stockholm.

The Green Leadership Manifesto explains a transformative vision for leadership for addressing the triple planetary crisis  – one that drives change from self to system, integrating personal responsibility with collective action for a sustainable future. Based on Fahim’s Green Leadership in Action (GLiA 1.0) framework, the manifesto outlines pathways to cultivate ethical, inclusive, and responsible leadership across sectors to address climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss.

During his visit to Sweden, Mr. Fahim had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to H.E. Ambassador Ms. Wahida Ahmed  and shared the manifesto at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Stockholm. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities to strengthen collaboration between Bangladesh and Sweden in advancing shared goals on sustainability, innovation, and youth leadership.

Following its launch, the manifesto has been shared across Europe, including Finland and France, reflecting a growing movement of leaders committed to redefining leadership for the planet. Fahim presented the manifesto to Mr. Zobayer Taki from the University of Oulu, Finland, and Ms. Maayeesha Farzana from PSL Research University, Paris, France – both members of Green Lead’s Governing Body- highlighting the global reach and influence of this initiative.

“We cannot solve planetary crises like climate change with the same leadership mindset that created them. We need a paradigm shift in our conventional approach to leadership. We need Green Leadership – one that begins with transforming oneself and extends to transforming systems” said Md. Fahim Hossain. “This manifesto is a call to action for leaders – from youth and policymakers to CXOs – to lead responsibly and act collectively for our shared future.”

Through the launch of the Green Leadership Manifesto, Green Lead continues its mission to mobilize a generation of green leaders for a sustainable future, building on its impactful work in promoting green skills, jobs, entrepreneurship in Asia and beyond.
