After a successful run in Satkania, the Green Shift initiative made its vibrant mark in Bandarban on May 21, 2025, carrying its message of sustainability into the heart of the scenic hills. This time, the venue was Bandarban Collectorate School and College, where the enthusiasm of young students from Classes 6 to 10 filled the atmosphere with purpose and energy.
The workshop, once again conducted by the passionate Tauhidul Islam Masum, guided 100 students through the fundamentals of environmental awareness, waste management, and sustainable living. His engaging approach created a safe space for questions, ideas, and inspiration—tailored perfectly to the minds of emerging youth leaders.
A special highlight of this event was the participation of Mohammad Abu Taleb, Assistant Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Bandarban, who graced the program as chief guest. His encouraging remarks emphasized the role of the administration in supporting youth-led sustainability efforts. In recognition of his support, a token of appreciation was presented to him on behalf of the community.
The event was made even more impactful with the support of volunteers from the Environmental Club of Bandarban University, who played an active role in organizing and engaging with participants throughout the day.
Interactive games, a quiz competition, and open discussions added layers of fun and participation, making environmental education both practical and memorable for the young attendees.

Md Fahim Hossain, Chairperson of Green Lead Society, closed the event with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating all collaborators, guests, volunteers, and of course, the enthusiastic students.
The Bandarban edition of Green Shift was a true reflection of community-driven environmental action—where institutions, administration, and youth unite for a better tomorrow.
